Spice Island Beach Resort Grenada Vacation
Find out more about Grenada in the West Indies, and why Spice Island Beach Resort
could be the place for you
A West Indies Vacation on Grenada staying at the fabulous Spice island Beach Resort
could be the perfect answer for your next Caribbean resort.
Grand Anse Beach is world renowned, with beautiful white sands and crystal clear turquoise blue
waters is the backdrop to and only a few feet away from the Spice Island Beach resort, which by reputation
and vote is probably the number one resort on the island of Grenada in the West Indies.
The Spice Island Beach has been highly rated as a West Indian Vacation Spot for some time now, and with very
good reason.
The accommodation has been described as varying from the superb to the spectacular, varying from beachfront
suites, to garden suites, to suites on the beach with private pools. All have been upgraded in every way since
Hurrican Ivan, and they are now amongst the best in the Caribbean with huge bathrooms, many with Jacuzzis as well
as showers.
On balance it is much better value for money to stay in the Seagrape rooms than an Almond Luxury Suite,
even if the latter does have its own plunge pool.
Each suite has Phillippe Starck fixtures, flat screen TV, DVD Players, frette linens, and Molton Brown
amenities, making for an absolutely fabulous experience.
The main part of the Spice Island Beach Resort Grenada, and it has only 66 rooms, making it very much a
boutique hotel, is in a stylish building which has a bar, a boutique, a fitness suite, a games room, and a seafront
restaurant with a very good reputation called ‘Olivers’, where you can sample Creole and International
Cuisine.
The table d’hote menu is excellent, and there is a Caribbean buffet on Fridays and a barbecue lunch buffet on a
Sunday. The dishes contain a lot of local produce, which is always good to see, the only slight challenge is that
the pace of service is somewhat slow, but this is the Caribbean, and you are on holiday!!
One of the many attractive features of the Spice Island Beach Resort is the fact that it is all
inclusive except for champagne and bottled wines. There is nothing quite like getting to the end of your
vacation, and there are no nasty suprises on your extras bill!! The quality of the wine by glass is actually very
good indeed.
This is not a beach resort on an empty deserted Caribbean beach, with only one hotel. The area around
the Spice Island Beach Resort is in fact in quite a built up area., this will not spoil your West Indies
vacation on Grenada at all. In fact the beach is well used by guests of the resort, and the very nice swimming pool
is hardly used. You will have little difficulty getting sun beds on the beach, and enough shade if no umbrellas are
available .
One of the nice things about The Spice Island Beach Resort, and this doesn’t always hold true
at other West Indian Vacation Spots is the quality of the guests and their behaviour. This is partly due to the
fact it isn’t a cheap holiday, or the fact that many of the guests are British!!
