If you are considering a Dominican Republic Vacation, then the absolutely top place to go to must be The Bungalows at Puerto Plata.

From the moment you arrive at The Bungalows, and you are greeted by your name, given cold towels and a drink you will be made to feel very special, and The Bungalows is a special place you will have chosen for your Dominican Republic Vacation.

Be aware that the resort isn’t on the beach, but unless you are a beach lover this isn’t a problem. To be fair Puerto Plata isn’t renowned as a beach resort area, partly because it is on the

Atlantic Ocean side of the island, so you aren’t going to find a turquoise blue sea and white sand beaches. You can take the five minute walk to the beach, but there isn’t beach service and the sea is really only for body surfing and that kind of thing.

 

Now the pool area at The Bungalows is very upmarket, with padded sunbeds, a number of cabanas, some even with televisions, which might seem a little over the top, but is excellent for watching sport at the weekends if you need this sort of thing on a vacation. There is a waterfall, and the bar is close by!!
