The Royal Sea Aquarium Resort Curacao is unique, and you may well never see anything like it again, so it is definitely a place to consider if you are planning a Curacao vacation. In case you aren’t aware of where Curacao is, then you will find it as part of the Dutch Antilles, or Netherlands Antilles if you prefer in the far south of the Caribbean, just north of the coast of Venezuela South America.

 

To tell you about the resort, you first of all need to know that Royal Sea Aquarium Resort Curacao has been built on a private island, and as the name might suggest it is right beside the island’s aquarium. This means not only are you surrounded by clean, clear, blue-turquoise water, but also incredible sea animals.

Imagine being able to go to the edge of the water any time you choose and be able to see dolphins at play, and every time you come back into the resort there are sea lions right there. It is fantastic.

 

Of course all this would be meaningless if the hotel wasn’t up to scratch but the Royal Sea Aquarium Resort Curacao hasn’t been named the top Curacao Vacation resort for nothing. Everywhere you look the resort is really well looked after, and there are two swimming pools, and a very large hot tub to enjoy.

All round the pool are cabanas to shelter from the hot sun, because you have to remember that unlike the rest of the Caribbean, the Dutch Antilles are very close to the Equator, so it is hot but hot with very little rain all year.

 

Another thing to be aware of is that the Royal Sea Aquarium Resort isn’t a resort for the type of people who need night life, throbbing discos and all that sort of thing. It is very laid back and quiet. Evening activities here are really confined to walking out from the resort to one of several little beach bars where you can get a meal and drinks at a price considerably lower than in the hotel. Prices for drinks are high, but that is almost the norm in hotels globally today, and it is probably sensible to ask the staff to empty your room fridge, and then go to the local food store on the daily free shuttle and stock up on nibbles and drinks at locals prices.

The hotel has a restaurant called Augustos, which is great for lunch, but with a limited dinner menu.

 

The Royal Sea Aquarium Resort Curacao is a good resort for a family vacation, especially teenagers, because of the pools, the great beach, and especially if you book a room with a kitchen to feed their hungry expensive mouths. Also if you can get a third floor studio overlooking the dolphins, not only will you get a view of the shows, but you will be able to watch them for hours and hours even when the aquarium is closed, and that is absolutely wonderful. Whatever room you choose you will find them all well furnished, roomy and clean

 

Another and final point is how good, willing, and cheerful the staff at the Royal Sea Aquarium Resort Curacao are, and that is what really makes for a great Curacao Vacation in a great Curacao beach resort.
