Firstly it is a small hotel in a place that has many huge and impersonal Resorts. There are only 51 rooms, in the heart of Playa del Carmen close to the most beautiful stretch of white sand beach you could ever imagine, fronting on to the beautiful blue, green, turquoise colours of the Caribbean.

This makes it sound like La Tortuga Hotel is on the beach when in fact it is located on 10^th Avenue in Playa del Carmen and is a short stroll of about ten minutes to the beach club.

This means La Tortuga is very central to the action, and yet it is very quiet and peaceful, very much a tropical courtyard type oasis in the midst of the clamour. The big advantage of the situation is that shops, Stores, Restaurants, Bars and nightclubs are all virtually outside the door.

Hix Island House is the result of the vision of architect John Hix , who wanted to build a hotel which would blend in with the massive gray boulders on the island, so he built five open air concrete structures which are quite unlike anything you will see anywhere else, with some serious ecological considerations built in.

Mention a Caribbean Island Resort on Canouan in the Grenadines to anyone and they automatically think of Raffles, but the Tamarind Beach Resort and Yacht Club is very well worth checking out, and apart from the fact it is a lot less money, it is in fact a very good place to spend a Caribbean Island Vacation.

 

It has just forty rooms, so if you prefer small and beautiful to big and glitzy this could be right for you. Tamarind Beach sits on a long white sand beach surrounded by tropical gardens, and the location is absolutely stunning.

To get to this Caribbean Island resort is just a short hop by a small plane from St Lucia, and you will be met by someone from the Tamarind who will drive you the ten minutes it takes through the main village to the resort. You will quickly be aware of the mossies, so you will need your bug spray. Greeted at the Tamarind by a nice cooling drink, you will realise very quickly how friendly..........

A Caribbean Honeymoon to Petit St Vincent is well worth taking the trouble to research.

Petit St Vincent is a five star Caribbean resort which has 22 rooms, and is described in its own brochure as an exotic Cottage Resort on its own 113 acre island which is completely surrounded by two miles of white sand beaches and it places great emphasis on privacy. It is 40 miles south of St Vincent in the Grenadines.

 

Petit St Vincent is well away from the tourist mainstream

 

This all sounds perfect for a Caribbean Honeymoon Vacation, and certainly needs checking out.

 

The first thing to note is that petit St Vincent has no television, pool, or telephone, no airport, not even a formal check in, so what you are going to get is fabulous seclusion well away from the hustle and bustle of Caribbean life, and that above all should make it perfect for that Caribbean Honeymoon.
